INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECORDING & SENDING YOUR GOLF SWING VIDEO
1] Record the swing or stroke you want us to review from two perspectives—down the line and from the side.
Recording your swing down the line
Set the camera at the same height as your hips and aim it directly behind your hands straight toward your target line.
Use a club or alignment stick to establish a target line—either near your feet or by the ball along your intended swing path.
Recording your swing from the side
Set the camera at the same height as your hips and aim the camera at your hands, perpendicular to your target line.
Alignment sticks are not necessary to record this perspective, though you can include them if you want.
Setting your shutter speed (optional)
When capturing your swing videos, it’s best practice to set your shutter speed to 1/2000 of a second. If you’re using a traditional DSLR camera to shoot the video, this is an easy setting to adjust.
But it’s likely that most will be using your smartphone. The built-in, standard apps and settings don’t enable you to change shutter speed. There is a great app called ProShot that does.
It’s easy to use and set up. ProShot is available for the iPhone on the Apple App Store ($4.99) and Android devices on the Google Play Store ($3.99).
It’s OK if you don’t want to mess with the extra app or shutter speed settings. We can work with whatever quality of video you want to submit.
